Portorož (Slovenia), October 21 (Udaipur Kiran): French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Sunday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will take part in the upcoming “Coalition of the Willing” meeting scheduled for October 24 in London. The gathering will bring together Ukraine’s allied nations to strengthen international support for Kyiv in its ongoing war against Russia.

Speaking to reporters in Slovenia, Macron said, “This Friday, there will be a meeting of the ‘Coalition of the Willing’ in London, partly virtual and partly in person, and President Zelensky will be present.”
The coalition, co-founded by France and the United Kingdom in February this year, has held several rounds of discussions to develop strategies for military assistance to Ukraine and to outline measures to prevent Russia from launching future attacks after any potential ceasefire.
Meanwhile, President Zelensky described his recent meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump as “successful”, noting that it led to progress on the supply of new air defence systems. This comes despite reports in some media outlets alleging that Trump used inappropriate language during their White House discussions.
According to analysts, the London meeting is expected to focus on enhanced weapons cooperation, air defence capabilities, and post-war security frameworks for Ukraine. The talks come at a critical time as Kyiv continues to intensify its diplomatic outreach to maintain and expand Western defence support amid prolonged conflict with Russia.
