UP Home Guard Recruitment Begins: 45,000 Vacancies, OTR Registration Made Mandatory

Lucknow (Udaipur Kiran) — The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has begun preparations for the recruitment of 45,000 Home Guards across the state. The Board has issued an important notice, making One-Time Registration (OTR) mandatory for all applicants, similar to the recruitment process for constables and sub-inspectors.

Candidates interested in applying must first complete their OTR on the official UPPRPB website — uppbpb.gov.in. The Board will soon announce the application dates and release a detailed notification. Those who have already completed OTR for any previous recruitment on the same website do not need to register again.

According to the notice, candidates can complete their OTR by visiting the links https://apply.uppprb.in or https://www.uppprb.in and filling in the required details. The Board has also provided FAQs and video guides to assist candidates. All applications for the Home Guard enrollment will be accepted only through online mode, and the link for registration will be available soon.

Important OTR Rules

1. Each applicant must register using a unique email ID and mobile number, which cannot be changed later.

2. Registration can be done using Aadhaar, DigiLocker, Driving Licence, PAN, or Passport.

3. Details entered in OTR must match exactly with the Class 10 certificate.

4. Name, gender, and date of birth must be identical to the information mentioned in the Class 10 mark sheet.

5. If DigiLocker does not retrieve the Class 10 details, candidates can manually enter the information.

Benefits of OTR System

The OTR system ensures convenience and transparency. Once registered, candidates do not need to re-enter personal information for future recruitments. It saves time, prevents duplicate applications, and keeps data digitally secure.

Recruitment Process and Eligibility

The UPPRPB will conduct this recruitment in the same format as the constable selection process. Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age and have passed Class 10 (High School).

The selection process will include:

• Written Examination

• Physical Standard Test (PST)

• Document Verification

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Only candidates who qualify all stages will be listed in the final merit list.

District-Wise Registration

Online registration for each district will be conducted as per the number of vacancies available. The process will begin from July 1, and local Home Guard Commandants will provide vacancy details. Applicants must apply only for their home district.

Documents Required

Candidates must upload their mark sheets and certificates along with the application form. Separate vacancy details will be announced for male and female candidates. Reservation will be applied as per government rules.

Eligibility Restrictions

Applicants employed in any government undertaking, dismissed employees, or those facing criminal cases will not be eligible. Candidates with more than one spouse will also be disqualified.

Physical Standards

• Height: 168 cm (Men), 152 cm (Women)

• Chest (Men): 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded)

• Weight (Women): Minimum 40 kg

• Race Test: 4.8 km in 25 minutes (Men), 2.4 km in 14 minutes (Women)

Additional Marks and Preference

• NCC Certificate Holders:

  • C Certificate – 3 marks

  • B Certificate – 2 marks

  • A Certificate – 1 mark

• Bharat Scouts & Guides Certificate: 1 mark

• Youth Red Cross “Aapda Mitra” Certificate: 3 marks

• Valid Four-Wheeler Driving Licence: 1 additional mark

In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given to older candidates. If still tied, the order will be decided alphabetically as per the name in the Class 10 certificate. No waiting list will be prepared for this recruitment.
