
Udaipur : The Savina police station of Udaipur stopped a child marriage on Monday evening. After the complaint, ASI Naveen Damor of the police station reached the spot and issued notices to the families of both the boy and the girl, restraining them.
It is being told that the action took place in Vijay Pathic Nagar. The boy is 24 years old and the girl is 16 years old. Preparations were underway to secretly marry them.
The boy had reached the girl’s house with the wedding procession. Other wedding rituals were underway. Then District Legal Services Authority ADJ Kuldeep Sharma received a complaint about it. After which he asked SP Yogesh to take action. The SP also directed the SHO to take immediate action. After which the Savina police station reached the spot and stopped the marriage. The police issued notices to the families of both the parties and restrained them.
It may be noted that these days the police-administration is alert about preventing child marriage in view of the weddings.
