New Delhi, May 13: BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal regarding work-from-home, online classes, and carpooling, as well as the Enforcement Directorate’s actions in the West Bengal municipal recruitment scam. Vallabh stated, “India spends approximately ₹12.5 lakh crore on crude oil and ₹6.5 lakh crore on gold imports annually. By controlling just 10% of these expenditures, we could save around ₹2 lakh crore in foreign currency.”
Commenting on the arrest of former West Bengal minister Sujit Bose by the ED, Vallabh emphasized that those involved in fraud and corruption during the TMC’s 15 years in power will not be spared, and action will be taken against all involved. He added that the model of providing protection and promotion to infiltrators has been dismantled, paving the way for a development model focused on the people of Bengal.
Regarding the swearing-in ceremony of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Vallabh noted, “We have formed the government in Assam for the third consecutive time, with an increase in the number of our legislators each time.”
Earlier, Vallabh remarked on Asaduddin Owaisi’s discomfort with the national song ‘Vande Mataram,’ indicating it reflects a divisive mindset. He reiterated that the BJP believes in the policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and prioritizes national unity and sentiment. Vallabh affirmed that ‘Vande Mataram,’ ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai,’ and ‘Jana Gana Mana’ will all be sung with respect.
