RPSC Challenges HC Stay on Assistant Professor Exam, Hearing on Friday

Jaipur, December 4 (Udaipur Kiran): The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has filed an appeal before the division bench of the Rajasthan High Court against the interim order of the single bench that stayed the Assistant Professor Recruitment–2025 examination scheduled to begin on December 7. The division bench is likely to hear the appeal on Friday.

During the appeal hearing, advocate M.F. Beg, representing the RPSC, submitted that the commission has already completed all preparations for the examination. He informed the court that the exam is to be conducted at the divisional level and nearly 92,000 candidates are expected to appear.

The appeal stated that the recruitment advertisement was originally issued in 2024 and the syllabus was released and uploaded on the official website at that time. Later, that recruitment process was cancelled after amendments in the rules, and a fresh recruitment was issued in 2025. For the 2025 recruitment as well, the same syllabus of the 2024 recruitment was लागू किया गया. It was also submitted that the syllabus was uploaded on the website before the last date for submission of applications for the 2025 recruitment.

On these grounds, RPSC argued that the single bench erred in putting a stay on the examination and requested that the interim order be set aside. It is noteworthy that the single bench had stayed the examination starting from December 7 and directed the commission to issue an updated syllabus at least 30 days prior to the examination date.
