Jaipur, July 25 — Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal has been booked in a second rape case within a month, this time in Jaipur. A girl from the city has accused the cricketer of sexually exploiting her for nearly two years under the pretext of helping her build a cricket career and by emotionally manipulating her.

FIR Filed in Jaipur’s Sanganer Sadar Police Station
According to police officials, the complaint was filed at the Sanganer Sadar police station. The complainant has stated that she was only 17 years old when the alleged abuse began. She claims that Yash Dayal exploited her repeatedly while promising cricketing support.
The case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The FIR mentions that during the IPL 2025 season, when Dayal visited Jaipur, he allegedly called her to a hotel in Sitapura and sexually assaulted her again. The FIR was officially filed on 23 July.
Previous Case Registered in Ghaziabad
Earlier, on July 8, a girl from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, had also filed a rape complaint against Yash Dayal. In her complaint, she alleged that he sexually exploited her for five years on the false promise of marriage. That FIR was registered under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with sexual relations obtained through deception.
In the Ghaziabad case, the Allahabad High Court had granted interim relief to Yash Dayal by staying his arrest.
Legal Trouble Mounts for Dayal
With two FIRs now lodged against him — including one under the POCSO Act — the legal challenges for the RCB pacer have intensified. The fresh allegations from Jaipur could significantly complicate matters for the player in the coming days.
