Jaipur, October 8 (Udaipur Kiran): After days of rain and strong winds, the weather in Rajasthan has taken a pleasant turn. The state is now witnessing the arrival of the much-awaited pink winter. The chilly breeze during mornings and evenings has given people a feel of the early winter season. In several cities including Jaipur, Nagaur, and Sikar, the minimum temperature has dropped below 20 degrees Celsius.

Dense fog was reported on Wednesday morning in districts like Sikar and Sri Ganganagar. In many rural areas, visibility dropped to as low as 100–150 metres, causing inconvenience for commuters. In Sri Ganganagar, the fog has been intensifying, and visibility was recorded at just 100 metres on Wednesday.
According to the weather department, Behror in Alwar district received the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours at 26 mm. Other rainfall figures include 16 mm in Bari (Dholpur), 12 mm in Urmila Sagar, 18 mm in Uchchain (Bharatpur), 2 mm in Bakani (Jhalawar), 4 mm in Nohar (Hanumangarh), and 20 mm in Neemrana (Alwar). With the rains now subsiding, dry weather conditions have set in across the state.
With the dip in temperatures, residents have switched off their coolers and air conditioners. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.8°C in Jaipur and Alwar, 17.5°C in Sikar, 17.6°C in Pilani, 19.9°C in Dausa and Nagaur, and 18.8°C in Jhunjhunu. Meanwhile, Sri Ganganagar recorded 20.5°C, Churu 20°C, Ajmer 21.2°C, Udaipur 21.9°C, and Pratapgarh 21.8°C.
As per the Meteorological Department, clear skies are expected across Rajasthan till October 12. Daytime temperatures may rise slightly with strong sunshine, and no rainfall has been predicted for now. Weather experts suggest that the coming days will remain clear and dry, while the chill during mornings and nights is likely to gradually increase.
