New Delhi, June 9: Over the past 12 years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has significantly transformed its image on the global stage. The country has emerged as a central player in the changing world order, particularly in the context of the Global South and international trade. From space exploration and energy security to trade, cyber capabilities, national security, and foreign policy, India has established its identity globally, strengthened its strategic capabilities, and delivered positive outcomes for its citizens.”
Under Modi, India has remained one of the world’s five largest economies. The country has made remarkable progress in economic, technological, infrastructure, and global diplomacy sectors over the last 12 years. It has solidified its identity as the fifth-largest economy and set new benchmarks in digital transformation.
The government has emphasized the development of roads, railways, airports, and ports through various initiatives. Projects like Vande Bharat trains, expressways, and modern airports have revitalized the country’s transport network. Meanwhile, the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has revolutionized the digital payment system.
In the space sector, India showcased its scientific capabilities with the successful lunar landing of Chandrayaan-3 and the Aditya-L1 mission. There has also been a focus on enhancing self-reliance in defense and manufacturing indigenous military equipment.
On the foreign policy front, India has strengthened its global role. Successful G20 presidency, advocating for the Global South, and active participation in various international forums have bolstered India’s diplomatic credibility.
Despite ongoing challenges such as employment, inflation, and social inequality, India has established new dimensions of growth, technology, and global influence over the past 12 years.
