Jaipur, March 4 – A fresh cold spell is set to return to Rajasthan, as cold winds from northern India are expected to impact Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and several regions of Rajasthan.
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, minimum temperatures in Bikaner and Jaipur divisions may drop by 2-4°C, bringing temporary relief from the rising heat. However, this cooling trend will be short-lived, as temperatures are expected to rise again from March 7-8, leading to warmer days across the state.

Current Temperature Trends Across Rajasthan
Over the past 24 hours, Rajasthan has experienced clear skies, with notable temperature variations across different cities:
- Ganganagar, Alwar, and Mount Abu recorded maximum temperatures below 30°C.
- Chittorgarh registered the highest temperature at 34.6°C.
- Barmer and Dungarpur saw maximum temperatures of 34.6°C and 34.3°C, respectively.
- Jaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Udaipur, and Bikaner observed a 2-3°C rise in daytime temperatures.
- Jaipur recorded a maximum of 31°C and a minimum of 15°C.
Humidity and Rainfall Updates
The Jaipur Meteorological Center reported that humidity levels across the state ranged between 19% and 59%. A weak western disturbance brought light rainfall and thunderstorms to Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and nearby areas on March 3. However, dry weather conditions are expected to persist over the next week in most parts of the state.
Temperature Forecast for the Coming Days
- Over the next 48 hours, no major temperature fluctuations are expected.
- From March 4 onward, cold northern winds could lead to a 2-4°C drop in both minimum and maximum temperatures.
- March 4-5: The Bikaner division and Shekhawati region may see a minimum temperature of 8-10°C and a maximum of 22-24°C.
- March 7 onward: Both minimum and maximum temperatures will gradually rise, potentially exceeding normal levels by 1-2°C next week.
Residents should prepare for fluctuating temperatures, with cool nights followed by warmer days, marking the gradual transition from winter to summer.
