Ranchi, 2 September (Kiran News): Several districts in Jharkhand are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall till 5 September, according to weather scientist Abhishek Anand. The weather department has also issued a yellow alert, warning of the possibility of strong winds and lightning in some areas.

Anand informed on Tuesday that a low-pressure trough extending from southwestern Rajasthan and neighbouring regions is passing through Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and southern Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, light to moderate rain is likely in various districts of Jharkhand over the next two to three days.
In the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall in Jharkhand was recorded at Dhurki in Garhwa district, measuring 35.5 millimetres.
On Tuesday morning, Ranchi and its surrounding areas experienced heavy rainfall, leading to a drop in temperature. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 35.6°C in Godda district, while the lowest was 21.5°C in Latehar district.
On Tuesday, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 31.8°C, Jamshedpur 33.3°C, Daltonganj 33.6°C, Bokaro 35.2°C, Chaibasa 33.8°C, Khunti 31.8°C, Lohardaga 30.9°C, and Garhwa 33.7°C.
