Jaipur, April 27 (Udaipur Kiran): Several parts of Rajasthan witnessed rain and hailstorms on Monday even as the state continues to face intense heatwave conditions.

Rain accompanied by hail was reported in parts of Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar districts. In Anupgarh, strong winds were followed by rainfall.
In Jaipur, extreme heat conditions prevailed during the day. To provide relief, the municipal corporation deployed water fogger machines across various areas, spraying water on roads.
Barmer recorded the highest temperature of the season on Sunday, with the mercury crossing 46°C. This is the third time in 12 years that the temperature has exceeded 46°C in the district.
Kota and Jodhpur are also close to breaking past temperature records. On Sunday, eight cities across the state recorded maximum temperatures of 44°C or above.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rainfall in five districts on April 27. Heatwave conditions are expected to persist during both day and night.
Kota recorded its hottest April day in eight years, with the temperature reaching 45.2°C on April 26. Jodhpur recorded 44.7°C, matching a seven-year-old record. Barmer registered 46.4°C, the highest in the state this season, followed by Jaisalmer at 46°C, while Kota and Chittorgarh recorded 45.2°C.
Weather conditions changed on Sunday evening after 4 pm, with cloud cover seen in districts including Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Ajmer, Bhilwara, and Chittorgarh. Light rain and dust storms were also reported in some areas.
The department said heatwave conditions may continue, with temperatures remaining above normal. However, some relief is expected between April 28 and April 30, with chances of thunderstorms, rainfall, and isolated hailstorms in several districts.
