JAIPUR, July 27: In a major action under the Rajasthan government’s zero-tolerance policy towards crimes against women, the Ajmer Police and the local administration have begun demolishing the illegally acquired immovable properties and encroachments of the main accused arrested in a case involving the alleged sale and purchase of a minor girl for ₹32,000.

The action is being carried out in the Dargah police station area of Ajmer following statewide directions issued by Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma.
Action Under DGP’s Statewide Directives
The DGP has directed that those involved in crimes against women and children should not only face imprisonment but should also face strict administrative action against properties allegedly acquired through criminal activities and against illegal constructions.
Ajmer Police Launch Major Demolition Drive
Under the supervision of Ajmer Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Agrawala, the Dargah police and the administrative team initiated demolition proceedings after examining the records of the accused in Case No. 104/2026.
A heavy police force has been deployed at the site to maintain law and order during the operation. Deputy Superintendent of Police Laxman Ram, Dargah Police Station SHO Narendra Singh, along with police personnel and municipal and administrative officials, remained present while the demolition of the alleged illegal structures was carried out.
Action Against Two Main Women Accused
The action is being taken against two key women accused in the case:
- Afsana alias Bijli (36), wife of Mohammad Javed, originally from Medinipur, West Bengal, currently residing in Anderkot under Dargah police station and Gali No. 17, Longiya Mohalla, Ganj police station, Ajmer.
- Afreen alias Noorjahan (36), wife of Sabir, a resident near Jharnewar Temple, Anderkot, Dargah police station, Ajmer.
Police said investigations into the movable and immovable properties of the accused have been conducted as part of the action.
Proceedings Under BNSS
According to the police, action has been initiated under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. As part of the proceedings, details of the properties allegedly acquired through criminal activities, bank accounts, and illegal occupations have been collected.
In coordination with the concerned administrative departments, illegal encroachments on public land and unauthorised structures are being demolished and seized in accordance with the law.

Through the swift action in Ajmer, the Rajasthan Police said it intends to send a clear message across the state that those involved in crimes against women and children will not be spared. Besides facing strict legal action, offenders will also face action against properties allegedly created through the proceeds of crime.
