Ajmer, October 23 (Udaipur Kiran News): The vibrant Pushkar Fair 2025 began on Wednesday, marking a grand celebration of faith, tradition, and folk culture. With the start of the fair, Pushkar’s ghats, markets, and the sprawling fairground echoed with the footsteps of domestic and foreign tourists. From early morning, devotees thronged temples and the Pushkar Lake ghats, while the thrill of camel safaris across the golden sand dunes drew large crowds.

This year, the number of camels has crossed 200, though the arrival of horses remains minimal. Camel herders have already set up their tents and camps across the fairground, showcasing a colourful rural scene.
The formal inauguration of the fair will take place on October 30 with the ceremonial flag hoisting. The event has been divided into three segments — the livestock fair, cultural programmes, and religious celebrations — and will continue till November 6.
Preparations in the fairground are nearly complete, with decorated stalls ready and artisans and cattle owners arriving with their products. In anticipation of heavy crowds, the administration has implemented a one-way traffic system on the Ajmer–Pushkar route from November 1 to 5. Over 2,000 police personnel have been deployed for security, and a QR code-based system has been introduced to guide visitors to parking areas smoothly.
The Pushkar Fair continues to stand as a unique blend of spirituality, culture, and tradition, attracting thousands of visitors from India and abroad every year.
