Jaipur, October 2 (Udaipur Kiran News): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday arrested Chandra Prakash Yadav, Police Inspector and Station House Officer of Phulera Police Station, along with a private individual Happy Mathur, while accepting a ₹50,000 bribe in Jaipur district.

According to Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General of Police, ACB, Jaipur Rural unit received a complaint alleging that the SHO was demanding a ₹70,000 bribe through middleman Happy Mathur — a CLG member and mobile shop owner — for not arresting the complainant’s brother in a cybercrime case and for settling the matter.
Acting on the complaint under the supervision of DIG Rajesh Singh and leadership of Additional SP Sunil Kumar Sihag, the ACB team led by Inspector Rajkumar Sharma conducted a trap and caught both the SHO and the middleman red-handed accepting ₹50,000 as bribe.
The ACB also revealed that ₹20,000 had already been collected earlier by the middleman as part of the bribe amount.
Further interrogation and proceedings are underway under the supervision of DIG Rajesh Singh. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is in progress.
