Ahmedabad, May 24 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Sabarmati-Veraval Vande Bharat Express via video conferencing from Dahod on May 26, 2025. This marks another major addition to India’s rapidly expanding high-speed train network under the Vande Bharat initiative.

Modern Comforts for Passengers
Equipped with reclining and ergonomic seating, sliding doors, mobile charging points, bio-toilets, automated entry and exit doors, and CCTV surveillance, the Sabarmati-Veraval Vande Bharat Express promises world-class comfort and safety to passengers on board.
Inaugural Run and Regular Operations
On its inaugural run, the train (Train No. 09502) will depart from Veraval at 11:30 AM on May 26 and reach Sabarmati at 6:25 PM the same day. En route, it will halt at key stations including Junagadh, Rajkot, Wankaner, Surendranagar, and Viramgam.
From May 27, the train will commence regular operations under new train numbers:

Train No. 26901: Sabarmati to Veraval, departs 5:25 AM, arrives 12:25 PM

Train No. 26902: Veraval to Sabarmati, departs 2:40 PM, arrives 9:35 PM
Both services will operate six days a week, with Thursday being the weekly off. The train will continue to serve the same intermediate stations in both directions.
Booking and Coach Details
Passengers can choose between AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car options for their journey. Ticket bookings for Train No. 26901 and 26902 will open on May 25 via PRS counters and the official IRCTC website.
