
Udaipur : Monday was as a memorable day for the 63 daughters from Udaipur who had a chance to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and interact with him. Modi blessed these children and advised them to chase their dreams to achieve big in life. These girls were bright students from the government schools in Udaipur who were selected under the ‘ Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ scheme for a visit to Delhi.
The announcement was made some weeks earlier and students had been excited since as many of them specially kids from the tribal and remote areas had never had chance to travel by air or see a metro city. Parliamentarian Arjunlal Meena accompanied these students to Delhi where they visited the Parliament house and were briefed of the system and working procedures there. “School kids who had often seen and heard the PM through ‘Man ki Baat’ were really excited to meet him. The PM interacted with them and told them to pursue higher education so that they could bring pride to their parents and nation’ Meena said.
They also visited the museum, central hall besides other well known monuments and tourist spots in Delhi. On the occasion Harish Rajani, chairman of Rajasthan Singhi Academy presented a Jhulelal idol to the PM.
