Udaipur, August 2 — The Faculty of Science and Technology at Pacific University, Udaipur, organised a Tree Plantation Day on August 2, 2025, as part of the ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ campaign. Saplings were planted across various parts of the university campus to mark the occasion.

Prof. Hemant Kothari, President of the University, attended the event as the Chief Guest and emphasised the significance of tree plantation in today’s environmental context. “Environmental conservation is the need of the hour. Trees not only provide us with clean air but also play a vital role in water and soil conservation, as well as in maintaining biodiversity,” he said. He also encouraged students to actively contribute to environmental protection.
Chairing the programme, Prof. Dilendra Heeran, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, highlighted the inseparable connection between nature and science. “If we want to advance in science, we must also conserve nature. Every plant is a life, and every life secures our future,” he stated.
The event was anchored by Prof. Ritu Khanna.
Faculty members, students, and administrative staff enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive, pledging to protect the newly planted saplings. The event aimed to raise environmental awareness among students and encourage them to become responsible citizens towards nature.
