51 Shaktipeeths Inspire Spirit of Service in Society: Prashant Agarwal

Udaipur, August 21: The Shiva Katha being organised at Seva Mahatirtha during the Sawan month turned into an atmosphere of faith, compassion and inner strength on Friday. The ‘Apno Se Apni Baat – Katha Bhole Nath Ke Saath’ programme is being held in the presence of Narayan Seva Sansthan president Prashant Agarwal.

A special story about the 51 Shaktipeeths was narrated during the Katha. Divyang people who have benefited from the services of the Sansthan also took part in the Shiva devotion. Their faces reflected both faith and confidence.

Story of 51 Shaktipeeths

The story of the 51 Shaktipeeths was explained through the story of Mata Sati’s death and Lord Shiva’s pain after her death.

It was said that the places where parts of Sati’s body and ornaments fell became holy centres of Shakti. Each Shaktipeeth, with a different form of the Goddess, gives the message of love, strength, fearlessness, compassion and good health.

Prashant Agarwal said the power of the Goddess is not limited to a form worshipped in temples. It is also the compassion that wipes someone’s tears, the love that supports a broken heart and the strength that gives a disappointed person the courage to stand again.

He said true worship of Shakti is possible only when its light can be seen in our actions.

Message of Service and Humanity

Prashant Agarwal said the 51 Shaktipeeths inspire us to take a pledge to play our role in serving humanity, working for the welfare of society and the progress of the country.

He said devotion should not remain limited to temples but should become hope in the life of someone in need.

Shiv Tandav Stotra Also Explained

The importance of the Shiv Tandav Stotra was also explained during the Katha. Lord Shiva’s Tandav was described as a symbol of creation, change and energy.

It was said that difficulties in life can also give a person an opportunity to become stronger from within.

During the Katha, divyang people and other devotees remained immersed in the name of Lord Shiva. Some devotees folded their hands and bowed before Bhole Nath, while some had tears in their eyes due to devotion.

As the colour of Shiva devotion became part of the new life received through service, the Katha appeared to touch the lives of the devotees deeply.
