MP Dr. Ravat Expresses Concern Over Absence of Rajasthan’s Presentation in Tribal Village Utkars Campaign Meeting

Udaipur, August 2 — Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Ravat has expressed concern over the lack of any presentation or proposal related to Rajasthan during the recent review meeting held with the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs under the Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan. He directed district collectors to prepare and submit more development proposals under the campaign.

Following the meeting, Dr. Ravat sent letters to the district collectors of Udaipur, Salumber, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh, urging them to take the matter seriously. He instructed them to coordinate with the state-level committee and study best practices being implemented across the country under this campaign to prepare similar proposals for their respective districts.

During the meeting with the Union Minister, discussions were held on achieving saturation-level benefits of all schemes under the Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan.

Collectors have been instructed to submit proposals for villages left out of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), even if they do not meet the existing criteria. Proposals can be submitted for villages or hamlets with a population of up to 50 people to be connected under the campaign.

Under the plan to include non-viable villages, proposals should also be sent for villages that have been excluded from schemes like the Jal Jeevan Mission, rural electrification, mobile coverage, and functional anganwadi centres due to non-viability. These should now be included under the Dharti Aba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan.

Dr. Ravat further stated in his letter that new guidelines have been issued for home stay and fisheries schemes. These should be studied and implemented at the block level, with proposals submitted under the Swadesh Darshan scheme to generate local employment opportunities.

He also noted that progress under the Van Dhan Vikas Kendra has been unsatisfactory and directed that new proposals be submitted at the earliest. Dr. Ravat urged the concerned authorities to discuss the matter with local representatives and upload as many new proposals as possible to the PM Gati Shakti portal to ensure the campaign reaches more citizens effectively.
