Udaipur : Pacific College of Pharmacy inaugurated its induction programme for newly admitted students of the 2026–27 academic session on Friday in a formal ceremony. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, floral tribute to Goddess Saraswati, and Saraswati Vandana.

Welcoming the new students, Prof. (Dr.) Hemant Kothari, Vice-Chancellor of Pacific University, encouraged them to focus not only on higher education but also on ethical values, innovation, and holistic personality development. He described the students as integral members of the university family and extended his best wishes for their academic journey.
The chief guest, Dr. Ritesh Agrawal, Director of Cam Robotics Private Limited, Udaipur, highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration. He said that the role of pharmacists today extends beyond medicine dispensing and plays a significant part in healthcare services, research, industry, and overall societal development. He urged students to embrace innovation, skill development, and continuous learning.
Presiding over the programme, Dr. P. K. Chaudhary, Director of the Faculty of Pharmacy, welcomed the students and introduced them to the fundamentals of the pharmacy curriculum, academic discipline, professional ethics, and various dimensions of pharmacy education. He also wished them success in their future careers.
Dr. Ankit Paliwal, Principal of the Diploma Pharmacy programme, informed students about self-employment opportunities, medical store management, pharmacy entrepreneurship, and career prospects in hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, research, clinical pharmacy, regulatory services, and other emerging sectors. He encouraged students to become self-reliant.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Gunjan Jadon. Senior professors and faculty members were also present to welcome and motivate the newly admitted students.
The induction programme aimed to familiarise students with the institution’s academic traditions, modern laboratories, library, training and placement activities, co-curricular programmes, and opportunities available under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
At the end of the programme, the students appreciated the college’s academic environment and modern facilities and expressed enthusiasm about beginning their new academic journey.
