These partnerships enable Indian tourists and Indians residing abroad to make cross-border digital payments easily. Additionally, partner countries are receiving assistance in developing real-time payment systems like UPI and domestic card payment systems like RuPay.
Currently, UPI is available in more than eight countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Singapore, France, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka, strengthening India’s presence in the global fintech sector.
