Gaza Strip, March 28, 2025 — International Desk
Fresh Israeli airstrikes on a crowded market in central Gaza have reportedly killed at least seven Palestinians, bringing the death toll to over 40 in the last 24 hours, as violence in the besieged territory intensifies.

According to Al Jazeera, citing the Gaza Health Ministry, the total number of Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes since the war began has risen to at least 50,208, with over 113,910 injured. Meanwhile, Gaza’s Government Media Office claims the actual death toll may exceed 61,700, with thousands still feared buried under rubble.
UN Agencies Sound Alarm Over Food Crisis
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has issued a dire warning about the worsening food crisis in Gaza, stating that thousands of Palestinians face acute food shortages. The situation has been aggravated by a halt in humanitarian aid, as no relief convoys have reached the enclave in over three weeks, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
Conflict Continues Since October 2023
The war erupted on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a large-scale attack on Israel, killing at least 1,139 Israelis and taking more than 200 hostages. Since then, Israeli military operations have led to massive casualties and widespread devastation in Gaza, drawing condemnation and urgent calls for ceasefire from international humanitarian organizations.
