Noida International Airport to Launch Flights from June 15

Noida, May 1: A significant and much-anticipated announcement has been made regarding the Noida International Airport in the National Capital Region. The airport has officially declared that commercial flight services for regular passengers will commence from June 15, 2026.

With this historic step, Noida International Airport is set to emerge as a new aviation gateway for the country and the world. According to information released on May 1, all necessary safety and operational procedures have been completed. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has also approved the Aerodrome Security Program, ensuring that the airport is fully prepared in accordance with international security standards.

Notably, the first flight from this airport will be operated by IndiGo, symbolizing the start of regular passenger services. Following this, other major airlines such as Akasa Air and Air India are also expected to begin their services. However, detailed information regarding flight routes, timings, and ticket bookings will be released soon.

Noida International Airport has been developed with modern infrastructure, fast operations, and multimodal connectivity in mind. It aims to provide passengers with a seamless and convenient travel experience while offering airlines cost-effective and reliable operations.

The development of this airport is being carried out by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International. This project has been prepared under the public-private partnership model with the collaboration of the Uttar Pradesh government and the Government of India. The first phase of the airport is designed to handle approximately 12 million passengers annually, with plans to expand its capacity to 70 million passengers per year in the future.

Experts believe that the opening of this airport will not only strengthen connectivity in the NCR but also create new opportunities for tourism, business, and investment. Additionally, it is expected to accelerate economic development in western Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas.
