Udaipur, September 4, 2026: Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated in a devotional atmosphere at Narayan Seva Sansthan’s World of Humanity in Mali Colony, Udaipur, on Friday. Tableau presentations of Radha-Krishna, devotional songs, scenes from Krishna’s childhood and the traditional Matki Phod ceremony brought a glimpse of Gokul and Vrindavan to the campus.
Sansthan president Prashant Agrawal said the event was attended by founder Kailash ‘Manav’, co-founder Kamla Devi, director Vandana Agrawal, Palak Agrawal, Maharshi Agrawal, trustees, sadhaks and sadhikas, volunteers and local residents.
Krishna’s Childhood Leelas Presented
In the evening, tableaux based on the childhood leelas of Lord Krishna were presented. The tableaux of Shrinathji, Narasimha Avatar, Radha-Krishna and Kaliya Nag Mardan were among the major attractions.
During the Kaliya Nag Mardan presentation, electronic effects were used to create a realistic scene of water waves and rainfall.
Children from Narayan Children Academy dressed as Radha and Krishna and gave captivating performances. At the tableau of Laddu Gopal seated in a cradle, devotees rocked the idol in the cradle and celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna.
Devotional Songs Create Bhakti Atmosphere
The institute’s music team presented bhajans associated with Radha-Krishna, Barsana and Vrindavan. Devotees joined in the celebrations and danced to the devotional songs, filling the campus with an atmosphere of Krishna devotion.
Matki Phod Draws Cheers
The Matki Phod ceremony was the main attraction of the programme. Children formed human pyramids and broke the matki around three times.
As the matki broke, the campus echoed with devotional chants and cheers, while makhan prasad was distributed among the devotees. For a few moments, the Mali Colony campus presented a scene reminiscent of Gokul.
