Jaipur, October 13 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught Bhupendra Kumar Parmar, a bank correspondent at Rajasthan Gramin Bank’s Dungarpur main branch, red-handed while accepting a ₹45,000 bribe on behalf of Abhimanyu Kumar Singh, Branch Manager of Rajasthan Gramin Bank, Metali (Dungarpur district).

According to Smita Srivastava, Additional Director General of Police, ACB Headquarters, the Dungarpur unit received a complaint on October 7, 2025, alleging that Abhimanyu Kumar Singh had demanded a ₹50,000 bribe from the complainant for sanctioning a Kisan Credit Card loan of ₹11 lakh taken in the names of the complainant, his brother, and mother for agricultural land.
The complainant stated that the bank manager had initially disbursed ₹2 lakh of the loan and withheld another ₹2 lakh, while demanding a ₹50,000 bribe for approving the total loan amount. The manager allegedly told the complainant that one of his associates would collect the money on his behalf.
Acting on the complaint, a trap was laid under the supervision of DIG Prahlad Singh Krishnia (Udaipur Range) and the direction of Deputy Superintendent of Police Ratan Singh Rajpurohit (ACB Dungarpur). During the operation led by Inspector Rajendra Singh, the ACB team caught Bhupendra Kumar Parmar red-handed while accepting ₹45,000 in bribe money from the complainant. The cash was seized on the spot, and Manager Abhimanyu Kumar Singh was also detained for questioning.
