Jaipur, June 5 (Udaipur Kiran): A plantation drive was organised at the Divisional Employment Office premises in Jhalana on Friday to mark World Environment Day. Officers and staff members enthusiastically planted various fruit-bearing, medicinal and flowering plants, spreading the message of environmental conservation and sustainable development.

A Sindoor plant, known for its unique medicinal and cultural significance, was also planted during the programme. The plantation campaign was conducted under the guidance of Joint Director Mrs. Navrekha.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Navrekha said that environmental conservation should not remain limited to a single day and must become a continuous public movement. She urged all staff members to take responsibility for the protection and regular care of the plants planted during the campaign.
All officers and employees present at the programme pledged to maintain ecological balance and promote large-scale tree plantation activities.
