Jaipur, June 5 (Udaipur Kiran): The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested a contract employee of the Kota Development Authority (KDA) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. Another KDA employee has been detained for questioning in connection with the case.

According to ACB Director General Govind Gupta, a complaint was received from a resident alleging that officials were repeatedly raising objections in the process of mutation of his ancestral property located in Srinathpuram, Kota. The complainant alleged that KDA employee Jugal Kishore and contract worker Kapilraj demanded Rs 50,000 to complete the work.
Following a confidential verification conducted on June 1 and June 2, 2026, the ACB confirmed the alleged demand for a bribe.
Acting under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General Om Prakash Meena, an ACB trap team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Swarnkar and Deputy Superintendent Anis Ahmad conducted the operation. During the trap, accused Kapilraj was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting Rs 15,000 from the complainant at the KDA canteen.
Jugal Kishore was detained from his office and is being questioned as part of the investigation.
ACB officials said searches are being conducted at the accused persons’ residences and other possible locations under the supervision of Inspector General S. Parimala. Further investigation is underway under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
