‘Cooked, ate food in the room where body was kept’
Udaipur : An unemployed man finally ended up in murdering his wife after being frustrated of her habit of nagging him to find a job. Naresh Menaria resident of Chorwadi village under Akola police station in Chittorgarh district hit his wife Vidya’s head with an iron rod first and later strangulated her with a muffler. The cold-blooded murderer kept the body in a sitting position in corner of a room for two days where he cooked food and ate it with his two kids. The killer drove away people who asked for his wife and the incident came to light on Saturday when Naresh’s father grew suspicious and took the police to his son’s home.
” Naresh lived with his wife Vidya and two sons aged 6 and 3 years outside the village. The couple had eloped 10 years ago and had had a court marriage. Vidya had never visited her parent’s home in Vallabhnagar, Udaipur ever since her marriage as her father didnt like Naresh” Kapasan DySP Dinesh SIngh Rohadia said. For the past five years, Naresh had been jobless and this was a major cause of frequent quarrel between the couple. Vidya persistently asked her hubby to find a job which irritated Naresh to an extent that on Thursday he ended up killing her, the officer said. Shockingly, he kept the body in a sitting position while he cooked food and ate it with his sons.
The children were too shocked to react and the elder son went out of the house crying for his mother. Some of the villagers informed the incident to Naresh’s father Chunnilal who went with few people to his home to find out what had happened. Naresh pelted stones and drove them away. Chunnilal reported the matter to the police which went to their house and found the body. The body was shifted to Bhupalsagar hospital and Vidya’s family at Udaipur was informed while Naresh has been arrested, the police officer said.
