Moscow, September 20 (Udaipur Kiran) : Ukraine has launched a counter-offensive against Russia in response to recent attacks, targeting significant oil industry facilities and logistics centers crucial to Russia’s war efforts. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry announced that long-range missiles were deployed to strike these key sites, which generate billions in revenue used to sustain the conflict against Ukraine.
In a statement on social media platform X, the ministry highlighted the impact of its operations, stating, “Last night, our long-range strikes had a significant effect. We targeted a vital facility in Russia’s oil industry and a logistics hub that generates billions of dollars, funding the war machinery.”
The ministry detailed that various systems, including FP-1, RZ-100, Mich-2000, and others, were utilized in these attacks. It also expressed gratitude to the soldiers involved, noting collaboration with Ukraine’s Security Service, Special Operations Forces, and Defense Intelligence.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry urged Moscow to cease its aggressive actions and choose the path of peace instead of reinforcing air defenses at the expense of other regions. The ministry emphasized that steps to de-escalate tensions are available, whether related to energy or food security, stressing the need for political will.
This counterstrike comes in the wake of a Russian attack that targeted a monastery, resulting in the death of a religious leader and injuries to four others.
