LG Balakrishnan Shares Rise After MoU with Tamil Nadu Government

Mumbai, November 27 (Udaipur Kiran): Shares of LG Balakrishnan & Bros were trading higher on the BSE after the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu. The stock was trading at Rs. 1,893.70, up by 15.25 points or 0.81 per cent from its previous close of Rs. 1,878.45.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1,878.90 and moved between a high of Rs. 1,900.25 and a low of Rs. 1,866.80 during the session. A total of 4,062 shares were traded on the counter so far.

The BSE Group ‘B’ stock, with a face value of Rs. 10, touched its 52-week high of Rs. 1,932.45 on November 25, 2025, and a 52-week low of Rs. 1,080.00 on April 9, 2025. Over the past one week, the stock moved between Rs. 1,771.40 and Rs. 1,932.45. The company’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 5,971.54 crore.

Promoters hold 34.82 per cent stake in the company, while institutional investors and non-institutional investors hold 19.31 per cent and 45.86 per cent respectively.

LG Balakrishnan & Bros has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu through its nodal agency ‘Guidance’. As per the MoU, Guidance will provide necessary infrastructural and regulatory facilitation, subject to applicable laws, to help the company obtain required permissions, approvals, allotments, clearances and incentives from the State government. This MoU reiterates the company’s commitment to invest in Tamil Nadu.
