Lava Agni 3 India launch date confirmed, tipped to come with a secondary display on the rear panel

Lava Agni 3 reportedly confirmed to go on sale in India, starting 4th October. As a replacement for the Lava Agni 2-the company’s head model available in the country presently-the smartphone lands. Here’s everything we know about the Lava Agni 3:

Launch date of Lava Agni 3 revealed

  • As mentioned above, Lava has officially announced the launch date of Lava Agni 3 as 4th October in India.
  • The brand even posted a teaser on X, posting along with it a letter stating how the Lava Agni 3 has been designed to be the “Rule breaker”.
  • Well, literally speaking, this translates into the brand claiming that the phone would disrupt the Indian smartphone market with great features at a sensible price point.
  • Abhishek Yadav also tipped that the phone might feature a small secondary display placed at the rear panel. The large indentation behind on the rear panel could be the primary view of the rumoured secondary display. TheMobileIndian has reported that the smartphone could feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 SoC and will most likely launch with Android 14 onboard.
  • The smartphone will be priced close to Rs 25,000 and it is one of the heaviest contested smartphone segments in India.
  • New Lava Agni 3 will compete with the likes of OnePlus Nord CE4, Vivo T3 Pro, Nothing Phone (2a) etc.
  • Its predecessor, Lava Agni 2 was quite an impressive device, so the Lava Agni 3 will launch with some high expectations on its shoulders.

Lava Agni 3 specifications: what to expect

  • Display: The smartphone will reportedly share the same screen size of 6.78-inch Full HD+ found in the Lava Agni 2, but with an added 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to carry a small secondary display on the rear panel itself.
  • Rear Cameras: The Lava Agni 3 will likely have a quad-camera setup. It will feature a main sensor of 64MP, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor, along with a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. That is similar to the quad-camera arrangement seen in the Agni 2.
  • Chipset: Lava Agni 2, launched with an underwhelming MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, was for the asking price underwhelming. Lava Agni 3 might receive the much-needed boost for performance through the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC.
  • Storage: The phone could come along with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage; that’s plenty of room for most users.
  • OS: Lava’s software experience, on the Agni 3, is nearly like the stock Android one and might be shipped with Android 14 out of the box.
  • Battery: The 5000mAh battery has turned into the standard for most devices in 2024. So, the Agni 3 is most probably to be the same but with 66W fast charging support, as we got with the Agni 2.
