Mumbai, October 8 (Udaipur Kiran): The much-talked-about romantic musical starring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela has officially been titled Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. The film is being directed by Anurag Basu and is slated for a May 2026 theatrical release. Currently, the shoot is underway in Mumbai, and is expected to be completed by December 2025.
There had been widespread speculation that the film would mark the third installment of the iconic Aashiqui franchise. However, sources close to the production have clarified that while the film carries a similar emotional essence, it is not connected to the Aashiqui series.
A source revealed, “The makers, led by producer Bhushan Kumar, want to present Tu Meri Zindagi Hai as a fresh and standalone love story. It will be a classic romantic drama with soulful music and heartfelt emotions.”
The film’s release date is tentatively set for May 1, 2026, though an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
