Jaipur, February 16, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran) – The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Jitendra Singh, a contractual computer operator posted in the Animal Management Branch of Jaipur Municipal Corporation, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4 lakh on behalf of two veterinary officers.

The action was taken by the ACB Jaipur Nagar-I unit under the directions of the ACB headquarters. Jitendra Singh was caught red-handed while taking Rs 4 lakh from a complainant for Dr Yogesh Sharma, Veterinary Officer-II, and Dr Rakesh Kaloria, Veterinary Officer-I, both serving in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation.
Director General of Police, ACB, Govind Gupta said a written complaint was received alleging that after the complainant completed work related to sterilisation and vaccination of stray dogs under an awarded tender in Jaipur city, his bills were not being processed.
According to the complaint, Dr Yogesh Sharma allegedly demanded Rs 12 lakh for counting the uterus and testicles removed during sterilisation, as required under tender conditions, and for forwarding pending bills submitted at the Municipal Corporation Heritage office. Similarly, Dr Rakesh Kaloria allegedly demanded Rs 2 lakh per month for November and December 2025, totalling Rs 4 lakh, and Rs 3.5 lakh per month from January 1, 2026, for processing bills submitted at the Municipal Corporation Greater office.
It was further alleged that both officers intended to receive the bribe through Jitendra Singh.
Under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police (Second) Anand Sharma and led by Additional Superintendent of Police Bhupendra, the ACB verified the bribe demand and found that a total of Rs 15 lakh had been sought by the two veterinary officers.
Following verification, the ACB laid a trap and arrested Jitendra Singh while accepting Rs 4 lakh from the complainant. Dr Yogesh Sharma and Dr Rakesh Kaloria were later detained and arrested after questioning in connection with the case.
The action is being carried out under the supervision of ACB Additional Director General Smita Srivastava and Inspector General of Police Satyendra Kumar. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is underway.
