East Delhi Riders Triumph Over Outer Delhi Warriors

New Delhi, August 22: In a thrilling encounter of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026, the East Delhi Riders showcased an impressive performance, defeating the Outer Delhi Warriors by 7 wickets. Chasing a target of 135 runs set by Outer Delhi, East Delhi achieved the score in just 15.5 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process.

The East Delhi Riders had a shaky start, with Sujal Singh scoring 13 runs off 15 balls before being dismissed. Hardik Sharma was clean bowled by Harsh Tyagi at a score of 13 runs, and Yashvardhan Oberoi also struggled, getting out for 18 runs.

However, Kavya Gupta anchored the innings with a brilliant knock of 48 runs off 32 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes, remaining not out. Vaibhav Baisla contributed significantly as well, scoring an unbeaten 32 runs off 23 balls, including 1 four and 3 sixes, leading his team to victory. Harsh Tyagi was the standout bowler for East Delhi, taking 2 wickets, while Navdeep Saini claimed 1 wicket.

Earlier, the Outer Delhi Warriors were all out for 134 runs in 19.1 overs. The team had a poor start, with Priyansh Arya managing only 9 runs and Yajus Sharma scoring 6 runs before being dismissed. Captain Siddharth Sharma was out for 18 runs, falling to Ashish. The team lost wickets at regular intervals and could not complete their full 20 overs.

Harsh Tyagi was the top scorer for Outer Delhi with 36 runs, while Shivam Sharma contributed 19 runs off 15 balls. In bowling, Mayank Yadav from East Delhi excelled, taking 3 wickets for just 22 runs, while Ashish Meena also took 3 wickets, conceding 25 runs.
