
Infinix Smart 8 Plus was launched in India on Friday, March 1st. This phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimension chipset and a large battery. It also features a dual rear camera with the help of artificial intelligence and the company’s Magic Ring feature. This phone comes with a UI based on Android 13 Go version. It also joins the other Infinix Smart 8 series models previously launched in the country, namely the Infinix Smart 8 and the Inifnix Smart 8 HD.

The Infinix Smart 8 Plus, available in Galaxy White, Shiny Gold and Wood Black colors, is priced at Rs 200,000 in India. 7,999 for 4GB + 128GB option only. This mobile phone can be purchased at an effective price of 2,000 yen. 6999 with bank offer. It will go on sale in Japan from March 9th via Flipkart.

Infinix Smart 8 Plus features a 6.6-inch HD+ (1612 x 720 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate and 500 nits maximum brightness. This device comes with a 12nm MediaTek Helio G36 chip paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB internal storage. The RAM is almost expandable up to 4 GB and the storage can be expanded externally by up to 2 TB using a microSD card. The phone comes with XOS 13 based on Android 13 Go Edition.
Coming to the optics, the Infinix Smart 8 Plus dual rear camera unit features a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an unspecified AI-assisted sensor along with a quad-LED ring flash. The 8-megapixel front camera sensor sits in a hole-punch slot at the top center of the display. The phone also supports Infinix Magic Ring. This is a foldable, pill-shaped scroll bar, similar to Apple’s dynamic island, that offers comprehensive viewing of various notifications and more.
Infinix packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired fast charging in the Infinix Smart 8 Plus. For security reasons, the fingerprint sensor is located next to it. The smartphone features 4G VoLTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS and USB Type-C connectivity. Its weight is 189 grams and the dimensions of the phone are 163.6 x 75.6 x 8.5 mm.
