New Delhi, March 26 : With 6,58,489 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, India registered 1660 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, on Health Ministry said. As per the Health Ministry data, the fresh additions took the total tally of cases to 4,30,18 032 in the country. As many as 4100 fresh fatalities were also recorded as some states add backlog numbers in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 5,20855. At present, there are 16,741 active cases in the country which comprises of 0.04 per cent of the total infections. However, with 2,349 recoveries in the last 24 hours,the total recoveries surged by 4,24,80,436 while the national recovery rate stood at 98.75 per cent. On the vaccination front, the government has been continuously speeding up the vaccination drive across the country. According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, 78.63 crore Covid-19 tests have been done so far. “India has administered 182.87 cr doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said. More than 184.40 crore more vaccine doses have been provided to States and on Territories so far. Over 16.41 crore balance and unutilised Covid vaccine doses are still available with them, the ministry added. JA JNA
