What is a WhatsApp channel?
Channels act as one-way broadcast tools and allow admins to share different types of content such as text messages, photos, videos, stickers, and polls.
The company is actively developing a searchable directory to help users find channels that match their interests. In this directory, users can find channels related to entertainment, sports teams, local government updates, and more. Additionally, users can join WhatsApp channels via chat, invitation links shared in emails, or invitation links posted online.

How to delete your WhatsApp channel
1. Open WhatsApp on your smartphone
2. Next, go to the Updates tab on mobile or the Channels page on web, find your channel, and tap or click to open it.
3. Then tap or click the channel name and select Delete channel > Delete.
4. Finally, enter your phone number to confirm and tap or click Delete.
Things to keep in mind
* Deleting a channel is a permanent action. Once you delete a channel, you will no longer be able to update from there.
*Followers will still have access to your channel, but will receive a system message informing you that your channel has been deleted. However, you can view previous updates on your phone.
* Viewers who are not followers will no longer be able to access your channel or updates. Your channel will then no longer be searchable and new users will no longer be able to follow your channel. Additionally, channel subscription links no longer work.
