The Honor 200 5G series consists of the base model Honor 200 5G and the Honor 200 Pro 5G and is scheduled to launch in India on July 18. Ahead of the market launch, the company revealed important details about the cameras of both smartphones. Both models have a triple rear camera. Honor has partnered with Paris-based portrait photography studio Studio Harcourt to develop an AI portrait engine. The smartphone brand had previously announced that the device will run on the MagicOS 14 Honor skin based on Android 8.0.

Honor 200 5G camera specs revealed

The camera details of the smartphone series have been released on the company’s website. The Honor 200 Pro 5G has three rear cameras, including a 50MP H9000 main portrait sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX-856 telephoto camera with 2.5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a macro camera. Both the main camera and the telephoto lens have optical image stabilization (OIS).

The Pro model features two front-facing cameras, including a 50-megapixel portrait selfie camera with f/2.1 aperture and a secondary camera that the company says is optimized for Indian skin tones. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. In addition, high-end models have a professional video mode for high-quality videos.

The base model of the Honor 200 5G features a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX906 sensor with OIS for the main rear camera and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX856 telephoto lens. Details about the third camera are unclear, but the company says it will be comparable to the Pro model. On the front, it features the same specifications as the Honor 200 Pro 5G.

Additionally, this smartphone will also have some new camera features. Added three different lighting effects: Harcourt Vibrant, Harcourt Color and Harcourt Classic. The smartphone also features an AI-powered Night Portrait mode that is designed to capture detailed portraits and backgrounds even in low-light conditions. Several other artificial intelligence effects have also been added.

According to previous reports, the European version of the recently announced Honor 200 Pro 5G will feature a 6.78-inch display and be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It runs on MagicOS 8.0 skin based on Android 14. This smartphone is powered by a 5200mAh battery and supports 100W fast wired charging. It also supports 66W wireless fast charging.
