
HMD is all set to launch its new smartphone range in India. The Finnish smartphone maker plans to launch the HMD-branded Crest smartphone series in the country.
HMD has confirmed that it will launch its Crest series of smartphones in India on July 25. The new Crest smartphone series consists of two smartphones – Crest and Crest Max 5G in India.
The company also posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the upcoming release. The company wrote: “Check the date: July 25, 2024, the countdown begins! HMD CREST smartphones coming soon. Don’t miss the big reveal! #HMD #HumanMobileDevices #HMDCrest.”

The upcoming smartphone series is now available online on Amazon.in and the e-commerce giant has also created a microsite for it. HMD has confirmed that the yet-to-be-released Crest series smartphones will feature a glass back and simple self-healing features.
The HMD Crest smartphone recently appeared online on benchmarking website Geekbench. According to the listing, the smartphone will have 8 GB of RAM and the Android 14 operating system. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Unisoc T760 chipset.
Introducing HMD Skyline smartphone with repairable design
HMD recently introduced the HMD Skyline, a smartphone with a repairable design. The company claims that the smartphone has a user-friendly repair design. The company also adds that repairing the HMD Skyline screen requires 65 percent fewer steps compared to HMD’s first repairable smartphone, the G22.
This smartphone supports Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 octa-core chipset with up to 12GB RAM. This smartphone is available in two storage options of 128GB and 256GB. This dual-SIM smartphone features the Android 14 operating system. The HMD Skyline is equipped with a 108-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. There is also a 50-megapixel main camera with eye tracking focus.
