Bhopal, October 26 (Udaipur Kiran): Weather conditions in Madhya Pradesh have started changing as rainfall activity continues across several parts of the state. With ongoing showers, a gradual drop in temperature has been observed, with the night temperature dipping to around 15 degrees Celsius in several districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, a depression system has become active, triggering widespread rainfall across the state. The impact of the system is expected to intensify from Sunday onwards. Heavy rain alerts have been issued for Dhar, Barwani, Jhabua, and Alirajpur districts for the next two days, while light rain is likely in 24 other districts including Indore and Ujjain.
Rain began in Bhopal on Saturday night, following intermittent showers in Ujjain, Shajapur, and Pandhurna. In some areas like Akodia and Pandhurna, water was seen flowing on the roads due to heavy downpour. Overcast conditions and dense fog in Bhopal reduced visibility significantly, marking the first major fog occurrence of the season.
The weather department has predicted 2.5 to 4.5 inches of rainfall in parts of Indore division. Light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are also likely in Ratlam, Agar-Malwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dewas, Sehore, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat. Clear weather and sunshine are expected in the remaining districts.
The forecast indicates that rain and thunderstorm activity may continue till October 29, particularly affecting the Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, and Jabalpur divisions.
In recent days, both maximum and minimum temperatures have dropped notably across Madhya Pradesh. Many cities recorded night temperatures around 15°C, while daytime temperatures also fell due to intermittent rains. After the rain subsides, further decline in night temperature is expected, signaling the early arrival of winter conditions across the state.
