Jaipur, April 15, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): Intense heat conditions have gripped Rajasthan, with temperatures crossing 41 degrees Celsius in several districts. After Barmer and Jaisalmer, Kota has also recorded temperatures above 41°C, indicating a sharp rise in heat across the state.

According to available data, Barmer recorded a maximum temperature of 41.6°C, while Kota touched 41.5°C. Jaisalmer and Churu reported 40.5°C, and Chittorgarh also saw temperatures above 40°C.
With rising heat, light hot winds have started blowing during the daytime in western Rajasthan. The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur has issued a heatwave warning from April 17.
Day Temperatures Rising Rapidly
In the past 24 hours, most districts experienced clear skies from morning to evening. Strong sunlight persisted throughout the day, contributing to a steady increase in daytime temperatures.
Cloud Activity in Some Regions
Despite the heat, parts of Jhunjhunu, Sikar, and Alwar witnessed light cloud cover during the evening, along with mild winds bringing slight weather changes. Similar conditions were observed in some areas of Nagaur.
Yellow Alert Issued
The Meteorological Centre has indicated that heat conditions are likely to intensify further this week. A yellow alert has been issued for heatwave conditions in several western districts.
On April 17, heatwave conditions are expected in Sri Ganganagar, Jaisalmer, and Barmer. On April 18, Sri Ganganagar and Barmer are likely to remain under heatwave alert.
