Jaipur, September 5, 2026: Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma on Saturday interacted with police officers and Youth-CLG members associated with the police across Rajasthan through video conferencing. He called upon Youth-CLG members to work as an effective link between the police and the public, with a focus on crime prevention, cyber security, road safety, women and girls’ safety, and prevention of drug abuse.
Additional Director General of Police Lata Manoj Kumar and Deputy Inspector General Kunwar Rashtradeep were also present during the video conference.
Youth-CLG Can Help Make Rajasthan Safer
DGP Sharma said Youth-CLG members can play an important role in the goal of making Rajasthan the safest state in the country. He said members should remain active in their respective areas and work in coordination with the police.
He directed police officers to maintain regular communication and coordination with Youth-CLG members and encourage them to actively participate in crime prevention and public safety initiatives.
Share Information on Suspicious Activities
The DGP said Youth-CLG members can share their suggestions with the police for better crime control. Information about activities that may indicate a possibility of crime can also be conveyed to the police, helping authorities take effective action against criminals at the local level.
Focus on Women’s Safety
Special priority was given to preventing crimes against women during the video conference.
The DGP said Youth-CLG members can work with the police to play a positive role in creating a safe environment for women and girls.
Call to Prevent Drug Abuse Among Youth
Sharma called upon Youth-CLG members to come forward to help prevent the growing tendency of drug abuse among young people.
He said they can play an important role in preventing the drug trade and creating awareness among people. Similarly, Youth-CLG members can support the police in spreading awareness about cyber security among the general public.
Youth-CLG members can also play an effective role in taking useful and public-interest information shared by the police to a larger number of people. Through them, not only can useful information be disseminated, but the authenticity of misleading or harmful information can also be communicated to people quickly.
Review to Be Held After One Month
The Additional Director General of Police, Community Policing, said that 73,184 Youth-CLG members across the state are currently associated with the police.
The effectiveness of activities being carried out with the support of Youth-CLG members and their contribution will be reviewed after one month.
DGP Rajiv Kumar Sharma expressed confidence that the joint and active participation of the police and Youth-CLG would further strengthen the resolve to build a safer Rajasthan.
