Ganesh Temple Purified after Encroachment Removal in Udaipur

Udaipur : Ganesh temple, which was hidden under encroachment for years, was purified and worshiped on Wednesday after the historic encroachment removal action at Delhi Gate intersection in Udaipur.

The temple was built in the 19th century and was dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Over time, it was covered by encroachment, making it difficult for devotees to visit.

On Tuesday, the Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) removed the encroachment, which revealed the temple. On Wednesday, UMC Mayor Govind Singh Tank and Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi performed a purification ceremony at the temple. They then offered prayers to Lord Ganesha and wished for the well-being of the city.

Singhvi said that the UMC’s goal is not to inconvenience the city’s residents or businesses. However, he said that the encroachment was causing problems for pedestrians, motorists, and tourists.

Tank said that he used to visit the temple with his father when he was a child. He said that he was glad to see the temple restored to its former glory.
