
Guwahati, August 2 (Udaipur Kiran) – To alleviate passenger congestion, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to extend the duration of special trains on the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri-Howrah and Sealdah-Jagiroad routes starting the first week of August. These special trains will operate with their existing schedules, timetables, and stops.
NFR CPRO Sabyasachi De informed on Thursday that weekly special train number 03027 (Howrah-New Jalpaiguri) will run four additional trips from August 7 to August 28, departing Howrah every Wednesday at 11:55 PM and arriving in New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 AM the next day. On the return journey, train number 03028 (New Jalpaiguri-Howrah) will also run four additional trips from August 8 to August 29, departing New Jalpaiguri every Thursday at 12:45 PM and arriving in Howrah at 12:10 AM the next day. This special train will pass through Kishanganj, Malda Town, Azimganj, Katwa, and Bandel stations during its journey.
Similarly, weekly special train number 03105 (Sealdah-Jagiroad) will run five additional trips from August 2 to August 30, departing Sealdah every Friday at 9:00 AM and arriving in Jagiroad at 6:30 AM the next day. On the return journey, train number 03106 (Jagiroad-Sealdah) will run five additional trips from August 3 to August 31, departing Jagiroad every Saturday at 1:00 PM and arriving in Sealdah at 1:00 PM the next day. This special train will travel through Guwahati, Goalpara Town, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Malda Town, Jangipur Road, Azimganj, Bandel, and Naihati stations during its journey.
