Washington, 19 November (Udaipur Kiran). The US Senate has approved the much-discussed Epstein Files Bill, which had already been passed by the House of Representatives. The bill will now be sent to President Donald Trump. Once he signs it, the Department of Justice will be legally required to release files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
According to a CBS News report, the Senate has given its approval, paving the way for the Justice Department to make the Epstein documents public. The files will be formally sent to President Trump on Wednesday. Trump has already indicated that he intends to sign the bill.
The report further states that the legislation, known as the Epstein Files Transparency Act, mandates that the Justice Department declassify and publicly release documents related to Epstein and his co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell within 30 days of the bill becoming law. It passed the House with a 427–1 vote and was approved unanimously in the Senate.
