Jaipur, 30 January (Udaipur Kiran): Acting on the directions of the Anti-Corruption Bureau headquarters, the ACB Bikaner unit on Thursday arrested a nursing officer while accepting a bribe of ₹1,500. The accused has been identified as Rekha, Nursing Officer posted at the Primary Health Centre, Tauliyasar, under Shri Dungargarh tehsil in Bikaner district.

The ACB said it received a complaint alleging that the nursing officer was demanding a bribe for preparing a Mamta Card and for uploading the discharge certificate of a previous delivery online.
Following verification of the complaint, a trap was laid under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav. The operation was carried out by the ACB Bikaner team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, with Police Inspector Jai Kumar and the trap team.
During the trap operation, Rekha was caught red-handed while accepting ₹1,500 as bribe.
Under the supervision of Inspector General of Police Rajesh Singh, further interrogation and legal action against the accused is underway. The ACB has registered a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation will be conducted.
