Patna, February 14 : The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has concluded the Intermediate (Class 12) Examination 2026. Students who appeared in the examination said they are now awaiting the results.

The evaluation of answer sheets will begin from February 27 and continue till March 10.
On the last day of the examination, the highest number of expulsions was reported. A total of 71 candidates from 20 districts were expelled for adopting unfair means. Among them, the highest number — 27 candidates — were expelled from Nawada district. In addition, 14 impersonators were caught appearing in place of other candidates. These included one from Sheikhpura, two from Nalanda, one from Gaya, one from Saharsa, six from Nawada, one from Rohtas, one from Lakhisarai and one from Samastipur.
On the final day, the first shift examination was conducted for Science, Commerce and Arts stream students under the additional subject group, covering various language subjects. In the second shift, students from Science, Arts and Commerce streams appeared for Computer Science and Multimedia and Web Technology papers.
The Intermediate examination was conducted at 1,762 centres across the state, including 84 centres in Patna. A total of 13,17,846 candidates appeared for the examination, including 6.75 lakh girls and 6.42 lakh boys.
Matric Exam from February 17
The annual Matric (Class 10) examination will begin on February 17 and continue till February 25. The Board has directed that all candidates must reach the examination centre one hour before the scheduled start time. The main gate of the centre will be closed half an hour before the examination begins, and no entry will be allowed thereafter under any circumstances.
The Board has also reiterated that candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall wearing shoes and socks. This provision remains unchanged as per earlier instructions. Any candidate attempting to enter the examination hall wearing shoes and socks will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
