Noida, February 14: A shocking incident occurred in Noida, adjacent to the national capital Delhi, where the bodies of a young couple were discovered in a car on Valentine’s Day. The police have taken possession of the bodies and are currently investigating the matter.
The incident took place in Sector 107, under the jurisdiction of the Sector 39 police station. Initial reports suggest that the male suspect allegedly shot the female victim before turning the gun on himself in a tragic murder-suicide. A pistol and cartridges were recovered from the scene, leading authorities to believe that the two were in a romantic relationship.
The discovery of the bodies has sent shockwaves through the local community. Residents alerted the police, prompting senior officials and a forensic team to arrive at the scene. The forensic team collected evidence from the vehicle, and the police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
The deceased have been identified as Sumit (32) and Rekha (26), both residents of Trilokpuri in Delhi. The motive behind this tragic incident remains unclear, and the Noida police have not yet issued an official statement.
This incident follows another recent case in Greater Noida, where a young woman reportedly took her own life after a dispute with her boyfriend during a party. The police investigation revealed that the argument escalated over marriage, leading the woman to use the licensed firearm of her boyfriend, Ashish Pawar, who is employed with the Delhi police, to end her life. The couple had known each other for five to six years and shared a close relationship. Ashish was subsequently arrested by the police.
