Calgary (Canada), July 29 (Udaipur Kiran) – Anti-India activities in Canada show no signs of abating. The latest spectacle witnessed in Calgary was a referendum on Khalistan. Thousands of Sikhs residing in Canada gathered at Calgary’s Municipal Plaza to participate in this event. This plaza is located in front of the local United States diplomatic mission. Pakistan’s Geo Channel published a detailed report about this on its website on July 28.
According to the report, the event was organized by the pro-Khalistan group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). The group held this referendum to gauge the opinions of Sikhs in Alberta province. It is estimated that around 1 million Sikhs live in Canada, with approximately 100,000 residing in Calgary. The family of Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the first to vote in the referendum. At the start of the voting, Dr. Bakshish Singh Sandhu, President of the Khalistan Council, spewed venom against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
