Washington, October 24 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major disruption, Alaska Airlines has temporarily suspended all its flights across the United States following a technical failure in its IT systems. The airline stated that the issue affected operations nationwide, forcing the temporary grounding of its fleet.

According to a report by The Seattle Times, the airline announced around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday that “operations are being impacted due to an IT outage, and all flights have been temporarily halted.” The company confirmed that no Alaska Airlines flights will take off from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport or other airports until the issue is resolved.
The airline has advised passengers with bookings on Thursday to check flight status before heading to the airport.
This is not the first time Alaska Airlines has faced such a situation. In July, a similar IT disruption forced the carrier to halt operations for nearly three hours due to an unexpected hardware failure at one of its data centers. That incident led to the cancellation of over 200 flights, affecting travel plans of nearly 15,600 passengers.
Alaska Airlines is the seventh-largest airline in the United States, headquartered in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1932 as McGee Airways, the airline now operates flights to over 100 destinations worldwide.
